“Awakening Students’ Sensory Superpowers”
Some people think genius is all in the genes, but new research shows that each of us has creative superpowers waiting to be discovered and developed. In this workshop, we will experiment with the practices of great writers and thinkers–curiosity, playfulness, observation, imagination, and interconnectedness. The workshop will provide ideas and demonstrate class activities, projects, and explorations that will help composition students see and experience the world in ways that will lead to richer, more engaged writing.
