“Searching for LGBTQIA Representation in the Two-Year College”
In this workshop, the speakers will present an argument for further engagement in reporting and fostering LGBT experiences in two-year colleges. The speakers will frame the argument based on absences observed in curriculum, student services such as writing centers, and in published scholarship. As a first step to remediate these absences, participants will be invited to share their own stories, organized around specific focal points designed to promote dialogue, with the goal of furthering conversation about LGBT students and employees at two-year colleges.
